A walk around Lunz

From Seekopf via the lake to Seeauberg

On one of the last days in 2025 two friends and I went on a walk around Lunz, on a route that was unusual for me. We started out in the town and went a short distance in direction of Kasten, then turned and went up Seekopf.

We passed by a shack. The afternoon sun makes it cast a long shadow. Together with the snow the impression of a perfect winter day is created.

From Seekopf we descend to the lake. There's a lot going on here in summer, but now the lake lies silent, surrounded by a beautiful winter landscape.

The lake lies in the shade, while the tops of the mountains still get some sun.

We then walk up Seeauberg, enjoying a view from above on the lake and then later the town. We even manage to get some more sun up there.

We are still getting some sun on the mountain while the landscape below lies mostly in shadow.

All that's left now is the descent. It gets cold as soon as the sun sets and I'm looking forward to a warm shower.
